One of Sweden’s most prized pianists, Bengt Forsberg (a.o. awarded by The Gramophone and Swedish Grammis together with mezzo soprano Anne Sofie von Otter) plays Schubert’s big G major sonata, Moments Musicaux and the first Impromptu in his very own way. (Forsberg also appears together with tenor Bengt Nordfors and violinist Nils-Erik Sparf on nosag CD 021, ”The Andrée Expedition”).

THE CRITICS:
DN: " The performance of Bengt Forsberg´s has to be named among that of the best, like András Schiffs. (---) ...let´s hope his solo interpretation gets the spreading it diserves. (---) ...it lets the sonata stand out as a struggle of life and death."
Norra Västerbotten: "A new favourite - Swedish pianist Bengt Forsberg´s magnificent interpretation on very quality minded label nosag records. (---) ...every note is alive, and the whole CD is illuminated from love and respect before Schubert and his glorious piano music."
HiFi&Musik: "This CD is, to put it short, brilliant with more than 78 minutes of gorgeous euphony."
Fanfare Magazine: " To label a performer as "interesting" can sound vague and evasive, but in the case of Bengt Forsberg it is an applicable term. He brings an unusual clarity to his sound, in addition to very precise musical ideas carried out with conviction. Forsberg is clearly a gifted musician, and worth hearing."
