This CD contains goodies and unexpected turns from the rich repertory of Swedish choir singing with a charming congregation choir and orchestra from Stockholm, Högalid Motet Choir, Högalid Chamber Orchestra and the leader Göte Widlund. The church of Högalid has its own orchestra and great choir and also a long tradition of celebrating musically high standard concerts every year. The conductor Göte Widlund is a very inspiring leader in a repertoar of traditional songs as well as more unusual music. A strongly recommended experience!
This ensemble is also available with Christmas songs on nosag CD 062, "Advent and Christmas in Högalid", released by nosag records in 2000.
