Maria Vocal Quartet was
formed as an ensemble for the sermonial
singing of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Stockholm
in summer 1992 but also did concerts in many other places
during its brief ”life” until 1995. The repertoire included the
music from the 1400s to the present day. Parts of the quartet were
also members of the vocal ensemble Cantores Mariae, also operating with
Mary Magdalene Church as a base, and specialized in mostly Renaissance and
early Baroque music (available to hear on nosag CD 189)
